Digital Playground

Crazy Birds started out as a digital business card for Amsterdam based entrepreneur Gijs van der Togt, trained as an urban sociologist and experienced in media, concept development and (copy) writing. After working for several media companies, the urge to develop something new emerged. Crazy Birds, a daily updated digital playground for a savvy audience was born. Nowadays fuelled with help from contributors in media, music, fashion and art.

There’s no good content without smart partnerships. For us, collaboration is crucial. Therefore, we are always on the look out for promising artists creating new, exciting things. Crazy Birds is a platform for advertising agencies, media companies, record companies and ofcourse brands to highlight their products. Do mind we only curate good things. Meet Mayer Hawthorne

When we found out promising soul artist Mayer Hawthorne was in town, we got excited and decided to do a short film about him with help from our friends at Mamamess and Rush Hour.

We strongly believe in content-driven short films, made from the heart. Because we discovered this artist in an early stage, the amount of attention from various print magazines and internet-media was overwhelming.

Sure, ik kijk uit naar nieuwe albums van Gnarls Barkley en Goodie Mob. Gewoon, omdat die krankzinnig goede Cee-Lo er in zit. Wat die man ook doet, het is altijd goed. Nu is er de formatie The Good Time Guys. Met Cee-lo, de soul machine. De eerste track Hello Miss verrast, lekker funky.

Career moves Terwijl ik mezelf voorbereid op de parfum editie van Blend – ik doe het met Acqua di Gio - en in het bijzonder op Bloc Party later deze week, kijk ik ook voorzichtig uit naar het weekend, waarin Diesel op zaterdag natuurlijk xXx organiseert, en mijn kantoorgenoten op vrijdag ook een intiem Disco 3000 feestje organiseren.
