Thank Me Later

Drake's debut x ticket to fame

07.06

Posted in Music

Thank Me Later (out next week) is easily our favorite album of this month. One could argue Canadian born rapper Aubrey Drake Graham is making too much ‘lovey dovey’ music. Well, we don’t. No way we are going to complain. His debut equals magic.

“I know way too many people here right now, that I didn’t know last year. Who the fuck are y’all?” - Drake (Over, 2010)

In one of his songs, Drake tells us he feels like Curtis Jackson in ‘02, the year he transformed into the famous rapper 50 Cent.  Well, this album is definitely Lil Wayne’s protégé ticket to fame. After the jump, you’ll find some highlights - including our favorite track of the album featuring Alicia Keys.

Drake feat. Alicia Keys - Fireworks

Drake feat. The Dream - Shut it Down

"This is one of my dumbest flows ever"

You gotta love those Canadians. The album kinda reminded me of Kanye's 808's. What do you guys think?
  3. Gijs writes on 7 Jun 2010:

True, Jonas. It's got that same emotional vibe. Although one can argue this album is even better.
