Digital Playground

Crazy Birds started out as a digital business card for Amsterdam based entrepreneur Gijs van der Togt, trained as an urban sociologist and experienced in media, concept development and (copy) writing. After working for several media companies, the urge to develop something new emerged. Crazy Birds, a daily updated digital playground for a savvy audience was born. Nowadays fuelled with help from contributors in media, music, fashion and art.

There’s no good content without smart partnerships. For us, collaboration is crucial. Therefore, we are always on the look out for promising artists creating new, exciting things. Crazy Birds is a platform for advertising agencies, media companies, record companies and ofcourse brands to highlight their products. Do mind we only curate good things. Meet Mayer Hawthorne

When we found out promising soul artist Mayer Hawthorne was in town, we got excited and decided to do a short film about him with help from our friends at Mamamess and Rush Hour.

We strongly believe in content-driven short films, made from the heart. Because we discovered this artist in an early stage, the amount of attention from various print magazines and internet-media was overwhelming.

Ik heb de afgelopen weken met veel plezier naar drie seizoenen Mad Men gekeken. Los van het feit dat het een geweldige serie is over de reclamewereld in de jaren zestig, viel mij elke aflevering die prachtige intro op. Dat is het nummer A Beautiful Mine, gemaakt door de Amerikaanse producer RJD2. Sindsdien ben ik fan van deze man, wiens nieuwe album Colossus binnenkort uitkomt. Luister maar eens naar Games You Can Win, wat mij betreft nu al een van de mooiste tracks van dit jaar. Maar luister ook pareltjes als Ghostwriter en Bus Stop Bitties. Colossus dus, wees klaar.

Het album Colossus van RJD2 komt op 19 januari uit.
