Digital Playground

Crazy Birds started out as a digital business card for Amsterdam based entrepreneur Gijs van der Togt, trained as an urban sociologist and experienced in media, concept development and (copy) writing. After working for several media companies, the urge to develop something new emerged. Crazy Birds, a daily updated digital playground for a savvy audience was born. Nowadays fuelled with help from contributors in media, music, fashion and art.

There’s no good content without smart partnerships. For us, collaboration is crucial. Therefore, we are always on the look out for promising artists creating new, exciting things. Crazy Birds is a platform for advertising agencies, media companies, record companies and ofcourse brands to highlight their products. Do mind we only curate good things. Meet Mayer Hawthorne

When we found out promising soul artist Mayer Hawthorne was in town, we got excited and decided to do a short film about him with help from our friends at Mamamess and Rush Hour.

We strongly believe in content-driven short films, made from the heart. Because we discovered this artist in an early stage, the amount of attention from various print magazines and internet-media was overwhelming.

Weinig woorden, maar wel heel veel nieuwe muziek. The Clipse komt volgende week met Till The Casket Drops. Van dit nieuwe album moet Freedom wel mijn favoriete track zijn. Maar beluister ook even Showin’ Out feat. Gotti en Life Change feat. Pharrell. Hudson Mohawke is een van mijn favoriete producers van het moment, en dus is Overnight essentieel. Common komt ook met een nieuwe track, samen met John Legend: Strange Fruit.

J.Rocc

Stones Throw producer J.Rocc komt met een nieuwe podcast: Secondhand Sureshots. Tot slot een bijzondere cover: Chilly Gonzales bewerkt Waves, van Erol Alkan en Boys Noize.

Hudson Mohawke is zo'n gekke producer. Ik zag hem laatst in Trouw, was heel erg verrast.
