Digital Playground

Crazy Birds started out as a digital business card for Amsterdam based entrepreneur Gijs van der Togt, trained as an urban sociologist and experienced in media, concept development and (copy) writing. After working for several media companies, the urge to develop something new emerged. Crazy Birds, a daily updated digital playground for a savvy audience was born. Nowadays fuelled with help from contributors in media, music, fashion and art.

There’s no good content without smart partnerships. For us, collaboration is crucial. Therefore, we are always on the look out for promising artists creating new, exciting things. Crazy Birds is a platform for advertising agencies, media companies, record companies and ofcourse brands to highlight their products. Do mind we only curate good things. Meet Mayer Hawthorne

When we found out promising soul artist Mayer Hawthorne was in town, we got excited and decided to do a short film about him with help from our friends at Mamamess and Rush Hour.

We strongly believe in content-driven short films, made from the heart. Because we discovered this artist in an early stage, the amount of attention from various print magazines and internet-media was overwhelming.

Krause stuurde mij een mail of ik haar niet een keer uit wilde lichten. Waarom niet! Zeker na het zien van haar prachtige video No Guts, No Glory, inclusief vogel - afkomstig van haar gelijknamige debuut. Persoonlijk vind ik de Nobody Beats The Drum remix nog wat scherper. Na jaren in punkrock bands gespeeld te hebben, lijkt hysterische synth pop en electrodisco haar het beste te staan. Denk aan bands zoals CSS en The Ting Tings.
