Mos Def is geen alledaagse rapper. Tijdens de Ecstatic tour zingt en rapt hij, en zit ook nog eens achter de drums. Beluister een fragment van de show, door zijn beste nummer Life in Marvelous Times te downloaden. Heel erg inspirerend. 

Maar bekijk ook hierboven beelden van hetzelfde optreden. Overigens kan ik je het Ecstatic album van ‘Mos’ nog steeds van harte aanraden.

Electroma by Daft Punk

Electroma by Daft Punk Ik kan me de clip van Da Funk nog goed herinneren. Althans, de dag dat ik hem voor het eerst zag. De ochtend erna ben ik direct de single bij platenzaak Dance Tracks gaan halen. Dat deed ik in die tijd nog. Nu is er Google. Wist je trouwens dat de nummer vier van populairste woorden die gegoogled worden, google is? Redelijk bizar, als je daar over na gaat denken. Maar goed, de platenzaak is inmiddels failliet, maar sindsdien heb ik wel een fascinatie voor Daft Punk, al vond ik het album Human After All eigenlijk best wel tegenvallen. Daar denkt de gemiddelde Amerikaanse rapper overigens heel anders over. Ik heb al die oude Roulé releases van (de ene helft van Daft Punk) Thomas Bangalter in mijn platenkast. Menig dj is daar jaloers op. Fijn gevoel is dat, maar dat hoef ik je niet uit te leggen. Na de jump meer over de Electroma screening van Daft Punk.
