Founded by Gijs van der Togt, out of love for interesting music, great ideas and new products. CRAZY BIRDS was nominated for two Dutch Bloggies, teamed up with various advertising agencies and collaborated on various projects with brands such as Bacardi and Jameson.

Flanders is a Festival

A little trip to The Ghentse Feesten

Last week, we got invited to visit Ghent during The Gentse Feesten (#gf12), celebrating Flanders is a Festival, which was - as you can imagine - a golden experience. We enjoyed some drinks, had the best dinner ever and visited a couple of great shows. After the jump, 3 essential things to check during the festival.

Vive La Fête during Boomtown

1. Boomtown Festival
Boomtown is a festival in a festival, on the Kouter square in Ghent. During two great evenings, we discovered a Belgian band named Isbells, an explosive performance by Vive La Fete and vocalist Frankie Rose. What really struck me was the relaxt atmosphere during the festival and lots of happy Belgian people.

Pole Pole

2. Pole Pole
Brasil meets Belgium, that’s probably the best way to characterize Pole Pole, during The Ghentse Feesten a funky part of Ghent. Great vibes and a strong cocktail, go ape. 

De Vitrine

3. De Vitrine
De Vitrine is a new restaurant in Ghent by chef Kobe Desramaults, known for his Michel award winning restaurant In de Wulf. During the Ghentse Feesten, this is the place to escape the crowds and have a freakin’ great dinner.
